Palo Santo essential oil is extracted from Palo Santo wood through steam distillation. Palo Santo wood is wood from a mystical tree scientifically called Bursera graveolens. It is native to South America and belongs to the same family as Frankincense, Copal, and Myrrh. The name “Palo Santo” means “holy stick” in Spanish.
