Benzoin oil can be attributed to its properties as an antidepressant, deodorant, disinfectant, relaxant, astringent, anti-inflammatory, anti-rheumatic, and a sedative substance. Benzoin essential oil, besides being a stimulant and an antidepressant, on one hand, is a relaxant and sedative on the other. It relieves anxiety, improves circulation, relieves tension, nervousness, and stress.
Botanical Name: Styrax Tonkinensis in 50% Benzyl Benzoate.

Processing Method: Extracted from the resin of a seven year and older tree by solvent extraction

Odor and Color: Warm and vanilla-like aroma and is golden brown in color.
Blends well with: Black pepper, copaiba balsam, coriander, cypress, frankincense, ginger, jasmine, juniper, lemon, myrrh, rose, sandalwood

This is the perfect sweetener for essential oil blends. Benzoin, peru balsam, copaiba resin and amyris combo makes a nice vanilla absolute replacement. Due to poor crop conditions in Madagascar, vanilla absolute production is very cost prohibitive and mass produce. Thus you have to fake it until you make it.
