East Indian Sandalwood Essential Oil (Santalum Album Lin), also known as Mysore Sandalwood, is one of the best sandalwood essential oils available worldwide. This variety of sandalwood is becoming increasingly rare due to the slow-growing process of the sandalwood tree from which it comes. The sandalwood tree can take up to eighty years to mature, resulting in an excellent, highly concentrated oil. Safety:
Sandalwood itself does not come with any severe contraindications. It is one of few essential oils that is completely safe for topical use. Until you know your tolerance, it is important to never apply the undiluted oil directly to your skin or to take it internally unless you are under the direct supervision of a certified aromatherapy practitioner. Essential oils are highly concentrated, and when applied directly to the skin they have the potential to cause severe irritation. Always abide by recommended dilution guidelines, and if using topically for the first time, do a patch test on a small area of skin before applying liberally.
If you are pregnant or suspect that you might be, consult a physician before starting aromatherapy treatment. Similarly, if you suffer from allergies you should exercise great caution, as many carrier oils are nut-based and can cause severe anaphylaxis.

I was hesitant at first to purchase this Sandalwood oil because of the bargain price (you get what you pay for). Then I saw this company advertised on Ouddict.com and was confident the product would be 100% authentic since I’ve come to believe “Ouddicts” can smell a botanical fake a mile a way and would never allow fakes to be proffered among brothers and sisters on the website.
I have been collecting Sandalwood oils since 1990 and of this I can say with some authority:
“Here is a young Santal, generous in her concentration of santolol; she is slightly sharp at first – as are most immature Sandalwood oils – but I’m confident this will dissipate with aging in a couple of years (I’ve had a reliable company supply me with a very sharp young Mysore Santal that finally gives over to the very best creaminess in drydown after nearly 10 years of maturation). This particular oil is ready-to-go to use in any perfume formula. For top shelf perfumes, this oil will no doubt be ready as THE PERFECT SANDALWOOD within two years. A sound contemporary ingredient as well as a much more wise investment!”

My parents are from the Mysore/Karnataka region of India where the highest quality of sandalwood has been cultivated for centuries. Good sandalwood is incredibly hard to find but this product ranks up there with the best ive found in years. It is a pure unadulterated concentrate with a wonderful smell. It took just 3 drops to transform a 2oz bottle of sweet almond oil.

purchased Mysore Sandalwood from Miracle Botanicals a year or two ago, the very best and strongest in my opinion, lasted for hours, unfortunately no longer available from them, yours is very similar in spicy fragrance but seems weaker, more diluted in comparison but still better than most
