Oil Summary: Bulgarian Lavender Oil kosher (Lavandula angustifolia) is also known as true lavender and sometimes Old English lavender, though it is not native to the United Kingdom. Lavandula angustifolia is widely lauded in aromatherapy as the finest, most versatile, and safest variety of Bulgarian Lavender Oil. The highest quality lavenders of this strain are grown at high altitudes (in excess of 3,000 feet elevation), and the differentiator from other strains is that there is almost no camphor content. This lends the variety a sweeter, more floral scent. As a certified Organic Lavender Oil, you can be confident in knowing that the source is sustainable, grown without pesticides, grown from seed stock that is free of GMOs, and contains no artificial components or other adulterants. Odor and Color: A clear pale yellow mobile liquid having a fresh, floral, herbal and spicy odor characteristic of Lavender.

Contraindication: Keep lavender essential oil away from eyes, inner ears and all mucous membranes. Those with sensitive skin may be at risk for irritation. Do not apply undiluted to skin until you know how you react. Heed dilution ratios until you can confirm your tolerance. If you are pregnant, or suspect that you might be, consult a physician before starting a course of aromatherapy. Young boys should avoid lavender oil, as it can possibly cause disruption to a boy’s normal hormonal balance. Discontinue use for at least two weeks prior to having surgery, as lavender is known to slow the CNS in combination with other drugs or anesthesia. Certain sedatives interact adversely with lavender, such as chloral hydrate, barbiturates and benzodiazepines. If you use any of these classes of drugs, avoid using lavender essential oil while you are taking them.
