People from India, Mediterranean, Middle East, and China endorsed the essential oil after a scientific study confirmed the numerous benefits that came with its consumption. They went as far as using oranges for cleansing and purification rituals. This oil has for long been recommended for people with poor immunity. HIV/AIDS patients are always advised to consume this type of essential oil since it can work well towards improving their immune system. In 2003, an in-depth research was done whereby Limonene was fed to mice. After a few months, the tests indicated a remarkable increase in white blood cells. In one of the tests done two decades ago, orange essential oil was put to test with other oils. It was confirmed that out of all the oils, orange had the capacity to treat over 22 types of bacterial infections.

I love the refreshing and invigorating scent of this orange essential oil. I use it for making whipped shea butter but also to refresh my carpets (I have pets) by mixing it with a cup of baking soda. I sprinkle the mix on my carpets and let it sit for 30 minutes, then vacuum everything up.
